Sarve bhavantu sukhinah — may all beings be happy

Amavasya offerings — every new moon, for those who came before

Amavasya is the day of the ancestors each month. Many families feed cows, crows and fish on every new moon — we make those offerings in India in your family's names.

Also known as: Amavasai, Mahalaya Amavasai, Aadi Amavasai, Thai Amavasai, Sarva Pitru Amavasya

How it works

  1. Tell us their names — the departed, your gotra if known, and the day to observe.
  2. A priest takes the sankalpa at dawn in India and the offering is made.
  3. Join live or receive the recording — photographs and video, the same day.
